Panama Canal

This was a wonderful 10 day trip through the Panama Canal. There was only a 2 foot clearance on each side of the ship. The ship also visited Jamaica, Panama, Costa Rica, Cozumel and Grand Caymen. We had already been to Jamaica and Grand Caymen. Therefore in these ports we rested and shopped (to my advantage.) I found some beautiful Black Coral!!! It rained in the Rain Forest at Limon. We got to see 2 slothes--a 2 toe and a 3 toe. The two toe was eating. That was really fasinating!! In Cozumel we took a ferry to Playa del Carmen and went to see the Mayan Ruins at Tulum! These ruins were political and ceremonial. Some of the 'house' foundations were left also.

February we will be going to Snowshoe, WV for a week. I will try to send pictures from there.

We are enjoying the updates. Kristin left for a cruise to Grand Camens and Jamaica today and will be back the end of the week. Heidi has exams this week and I am leaving Sunday for my week of "inner reflection" and "outward coming to terms" of this new journey I am on.

We wish you well.
